I am always intrigued and amazed by architectural beauty wherever I go. Maybe it is also because my childhood ambition was to be an architect which I didn't manage to achieve it due to some reasons too long to describe here even in the shortest possible version.

Buildings, according to a famous architect whose name eludes me for now, are the large sculptures. How true! And it is even more apt in the context of the mosque buildings. Every mosque building is unique with its Moorish-style design which come in different shapes, colours and design as influenced by local elements.

Mosque architecture never fails to impress me and whenever an opportunity strikes I wont resist the temptation to click the shutter.

Here I present to you some of my collection of mosque photographs which I have them in digitzed format. Do enjoy viewing my photographs and all comments and brickbats are always welcomed.

One of my favorite subjects - and I believe many photographers' favorite subjects - is nature and landscape. To me it is the most precious and the priceless gift from God to us human beings to take great care of. In fact without them we would not be able to survive as there wouldn't be an ecological balance.

Among my favorite nature and landscape photographers are David Noton and Joe Cornish who always come up with superb and breathtaking landscape pictures and not forgetting Ansel Adams. Although my works are still very far from their standard at least I have the opportunity to dispaly them here for your viewing pleasure and I profusely thank Fotopages.com for the opportunity.

And together we conserve our priceless environment before it is too late.

So afar I only have my son's photo in my possession in digitized files. He is my obedient little model and the best of all he is free of charge other than his usual supply of infant formula His name is Danial or in full it is quite a mouthful which he himself finds it difficult to pronounce - Muhammad Zafir Danial.

The first photo was selected to appear in Kodak Website in its Photo of The Day column on 19 Sept 2003..

Every time I go back to my hometown in Besut, Terengganu (Malaysia). I never fail to take my faithful companion along, my Nikon F80 camera. The kampung life and the east coast environment constantly provide me with inspiring spirit and fresh idea for photography. There are just so many irresistable subjects vying for my attention.

I always find the colourful fishing boats in Kuala Besut wonderful. They have constantly become my pet subjects as it is closely associated with fishermen’s life on the east coast. The boats are of paramount importance to them with which they make a living to provide for their families. It is the symbol of the east coast livelihood. It is also the symbol of strength to relentlessly fight the strong and harsh wave out there on the vast and deep South China Sea although at times a few of them fail. The failure which not only costs the fisherman’s life but also costs the sole breadwinner that a family is so dependant on.

The boats are painted colourful and some of them are decorated with intricate Malay ‘Awan Larat’ carvings that is full of Malay culturally rich identity.
